Old Forest - Dagian (Digipak)  | | The Cult British Black Metal band bring us their 4th full-length album in the shape of 2016's 'Dagian'.
Writing began in late 2014 and, by the time it was finished, it was clear that some rather speacial music had formed. The ambient Black Metal herein is a four-part illustration of the day-cycle of the ancient forests of Sussex, England. Comprising of 4 pieces - 'Morwen' (Morning), 'Non' (noon), 'Tweoneleoht' (twilight) and 'Neaht' (night) - the elongated and hypnotic compositions conjour both the beauty and terror of the natural environment.
The most accomplished, mature and thought-provoking release in the OLD FOREST catalogue so far, 'Dagian' is essential for any fan of these anti-commercial Black Metal purists...
